The 100th Annual Exhibition of Contemporary Art will open September 2, 2011, and will be celebrated in conjunction with the Berlind Symposium the weekend of October 21 – 23, 2011. The Museum plans to publish a catalogue that explores the history of the annuals and showcases some of the highlights of the annual acquisitions. The catalogue will be for sale in the fall of 2011. We’ll keep you posted on updates, and we’ll also post excerpts from it here on our website.
The history of the annuals would not be complete without the memories of R-MWC alumnae. If you have any stories or memorabilia from the rich tradition of art at the college, please let us know. Unfortunately, we may not be able to use everyone’s responses in the catalogue, but we will archive them and hopefully continue to highlight them in the future.
